It's Math Time
Greetings! The school bell is ringing and Mrs. McNabb is excited to share a new year of learning with you. I hope you enjoyed your summer as much as I did. However, it’s time to get back to our academics. Fourth and Fifth Grade Math Students, get ready, set, and jump right into academic empowerment.
Math is a fun challenging process where knowledge is gained from successes as well as challenges. Math achievement follows a positive outlook and requires sequential mathematical processes that may also involve revision and/or redoing. To be an accomplished math scholar, one must be consistent, committed, prepared, an active participant, and keeps a steady pace moving forward throughout the school year.
Personal goal setting is imperative
According to Fitzhugh Dodson, "Without goals, and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with no destination."
- Interactive Math Notebook (IMN)
- Math Website
- Check the math website daily for updates
- Complete math home enrichment (HE) as directed
- Practice math consistently. Perfect practice = Improved results
I WELCOME you and I look forward to working and learning with you this school year.
